REACH downstream-user duties need a role-and-measure record

ECHA identifies responsibilities shared by all downstream users and additional duties for formulators and article producers. A defensible operating record should connect the organization's actual role, the safety-data and exposure-scenario measures it received, implementation evidence, supplier communications, and chemicals-of-concern actions without claiming that the overview proves a particular use is covered.

CLP needs four linked chemical-compliance records

ECHA's CLP overview connects hazard classification, label and packaging duties, notifications to the Classification and Labelling Inventory, and poison-centre information with unique formula identifiers. Those controls share chemical identity, but they need separate scope, actor, version, effective-date, submission, and implementation evidence rather than one undifferentiated compliant status.

Lisam multilingual SDS needs market-and-language release control

Lisam says ExESS creates, manages, and distributes safety data sheets and labels for key commercial markets using regulatory content and document generation in more than 56 languages. Translation capacity can scale authoring, but each released document still needs the right product, jurisdiction, language, content version, approval, and recipient.

MākuSafe wearable signals need an exposure-to-control record

MākuSafe describes wearable observations and sensor signals for strain, heat index, noise, air quality, slips, and worker reporting. An alert is a lead for assessment, not a measured exposure, diagnosed injury, proven control, or prevented incident; safety teams need instrument, worker, task, conditions, review, action, and follow-up lineage.

EU safety services do not transfer the employer's duty

EU Framework Directive 89/391/EEC says using competent external protective or preventive services does not discharge the employer's responsibility. A service engagement therefore needs a task-and-evidence record that preserves what the service performs, what the employer decides, and how national implementation applies.

GRI 403 rates need worker-scope denominator records

GRI 403 requires injury counts, rates, and hours for employees and separately for non-employees whose work or workplace the organization controls. A published rate stays comparable only when the worker population, hours, exclusions, event definitions, multiplier, reporting period, and later corrections remain attached to it.

A Protex AI detection needs camera-scope and reviewer evidence

Protex AI presents computer-vision analysis of existing camera feeds for safety and operational events, including near misses, area controls, personal protective equipment, ergonomics, and vehicle activity. A detected event can focus attention, but it does not establish the complete scene, the applicable rule, incident cause, corrective action, or a safe condition.

EPA's draft trans-1,2-dichloroethylene review is not final

EPA released a draft TSCA risk evaluation for trans-1,2-dichloroethylene and opened a 60-day comment period. The draft identifies significant contributions to unreasonable risk for workers and occupational non-users under 19 conditions of use and preliminarily identifies one consumer use, but EPA says the findings may change and current protections remain in place while the review continues.

A Blackline Safety gas alert needs a separate response record

Blackline Safety presents connected gas detection, lone-worker protection, location, communications, live monitoring, incident response, and analytics. Those capabilities can accelerate awareness, but a device alarm or monitoring-center notification does not by itself establish that the right field action occurred or that an incident is safe to close.

Mitti links inspection findings to tasks—closure still needs control evidence

Mitti by SafetyCulture connects inspections and issue reporting with task management, investigations, and analytics. That workflow can accelerate follow-up without making a completed task proof that the underlying hazard is controlled or that the corrective action remains effective.

ILO-OSH 2001 makes worker participation system governance—not a survey score

The ILO guidelines call worker participation an essential element of an occupational safety and health management system and connect it to organizing, planning, implementation, evaluation, and improvement. A sentiment result or consultation checkbox cannot establish that operating role.

ISO 45003 keeps psychosocial risk separate from diagnosis

ISO 45003:2021 is published guidance for managing psychosocial risk within an occupational health and safety management system. It is not a clinical diagnostic standard or a software outcome claim.

OSHA makes injury records establishment-specific

Section 1904.30 requires separate logs for long-term establishments, permits qualified central recordkeeping, and assigns mobile or visiting workers through explicit location rules rather than a single undifferentiated company ledger.

OSHA makes permit-space entry a controlled sequence

The general-industry standard links hazard evaluation, acceptable entry conditions, ordered atmospheric testing, assigned roles, rescue readiness, and permit closure into one entry control.
